Privacy policy

Last updated: 15 July 2026. This is a translation of the Greek privacy policy; if the two ever differ, the Greek text applies.

1. Who is responsible for your data

energiabook.gr is run by its editorial team, which jointly decides how personal data is processed on the site. To exercise any of your rights, write to info@energiabook.gr.

2. What we collect

When you use the “Ask the experts” form we may collect:

  • your question and the topic you chose;
  • a name or pseudonym, if you give one (optional);
  • an email address, if you give one (optional) — used only to contact you, and never published;
  • technical data needed to keep the form secure.

3. Why, and on what legal basis

What you send through the form is processed on the basis of your consent. Technical security data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in protecting the site from spam and abuse.

4. Publication of questions

Sending a question does not guarantee that it will be published. The editorial team reviews every question, may edit it lightly, and removes any personal details that are not needed before publication.

5. How long we keep it

Unpublished questions and contact details are kept for up to 12 months, unless there is a specific reason to keep them longer. Published questions and answers may remain in the site’s archive, without contact details.

6. Who can see it

Only authorised members of the team can see what you send. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers. When a question is passed to an outside expert, only what is needed to answer it is shared.

7. Cloudflare Turnstile

The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to keep out automated submissions. It processes technical signals such as your IP address and browser information; according to Cloudflare, it does not have access to the content of your question.

8. Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies — for the secure operation of the site, for sessions, and for protection against abuse.

9. Your rights

Under Articles 15–22 of the GDPR you can ask for access to your data, its correction, erasure, restriction or portability, object to its processing, and withdraw your consent at any time.

10. Complaints

You can complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (Αρχή Προστασίας Δεδομένων Προσωπικού Χαρακτήρα).

11. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, and access to the site’s administration is limited to authorised users.

12. Changes

This policy may be updated when the way the site works or the services it offers change. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of the page.
