Dr Vassiliki (Vaso) Kotroni is a meteorologist with a doctorate in Dynamic Meteorology from Clermont-Ferrand, France (1993). She has published a large number of papers in international journals on numerical weather prediction, climatology and the dynamics of atmospheric systems, with an emphasis on extreme weather. She is a co-founder of the weather forecasting website www.meteo.gr.
